Week 3 od Art & Design is all about pattern. With this latest layout I finally feel like I'm getting the feel for the concepts in this class and interpreting them in a way that is more my style. While I adore Wilna's pages, the stark white backgrounds that she starts most pages with is not really my thing. I usually start a page with colors that relate directly to my photo, and almost alway have a patterned paper or solid color card stock background. In this layout I started with golds and purples for my paint colored circles and the wood printed paper. I love the combination of the rustic wood and the shiny gold and metallic purple paint. the xoxo was painted with india ink on white card stock then fussy cut by hand.
